Jo is one of our Autism Assessment & Quality Assurance Administrators, working alongside Ange to support the smooth running of our autism assessment pathway and quality assurance processes.
Jo brings extensive experience from educational settings, having worked with children and young people from Early Years through to secondary and post-16 education. Her previous roles have included Family Liaison Officer, Attendance Officer, Pastoral Support, Welfare Support and Classroom Support Assistant.
She has also worked within specialist and alternative education settings, including managing a secondary school support unit and, more recently, working within a Pupil Referral Unit supporting young people aged 11–19 who found it difficult to thrive within a mainstream school environment.
Throughout her career, Jo has developed significant experience of supporting neurodivergent children and young people and working closely with families, schools and other professionals. She brings this understanding to her role at AYC, helping to ensure families are supported throughout the assessment process and that our administrative and quality assurance processes are completed carefully and consistently.
Jo’s experience, approachable manner and understanding of the challenges families can face make her a valued member of the AYC team.
