Katie Hinds

Our Managing Director, Katie is a Chartered Educational and Child Psychologist with 24 years experience of working with children and young people, both privately and also in local authorities. She has been a Principal Educational Psychologist in three different local authorities

Katie has a particular interest in assessing and working with children and young people with complex neurodivergence. In particular, she is interested in those children whose Autism presents as a demand avoidant profile. Katie is also interested in the intersection between trauma and neurodivergence and is skilled at developing thoughtful, empathetic and trauma informed interventions to support children and young people’s mental health and emotional well-being.
Katie has extensive experience of delivering training and contributing to communities of practice and policy development. She has significant experience of neurodivergence as both a parent and family member and understands the difficulties that children and young people with additional needs can face. Katie is passionate about identifying, recognising and celebrating the strengths and unique contributions that all children and young people bring and is committed to working in partnership with families, schools and wider professional groups.
Katie is passionate and driven to develop and deliver the highest quality psychological and assessment services for children, young people and adults. She is committed to ensure that all assessment work follows professional standards, meets NICE guidelines and reflects the latest developments in research.
Outside of work, Katie has a keen interest in fitness, spending time with family and friends and is passionate about campaigning for social justice and animal welfare. She has been a vegetarian for over 46 years and is a staunch advocate for protecting our wildlife.
